Splish, Splash, Auntie's Getting a Bath

A week or so ago, I called A.N.S. Detailing, and made an appointment for Auntie Violet to get washed before we head north. The boys had washed and waxed the rig when we arrived in October. They put on a good coat of wax and buffed it well, so we figured all she needed was to have all of the desert dust washed off. Alan and his crew are based here at Eagle View in the winter, then head home to South Dakota to work up there during the summer months.

Alan's comment when they were up on the roof was that he couldn't believe how dirty it had gotten...

I had taken down the hummingbird feeder and the wind chimes that we hang on the mirrors last week, so we were ready for the wash job.

The crew uses a foam cleaner that attaches to their pressure hoses. Once it's on, they use brushes to scrub.

Forry and I sat in the shade and watched. It's been a couple of years since we've done it ourselves. It took us most of two days to do what the guys did in a couple of hours.

While they were at it, Toad II got a bath as well!

When they were done with the rigs, Alan helped Forry load the trike into the back of Toad II. It's a two person job and I was so glad he volunteered to help.
