Finally...

After talking about it ever since we started as full-time RVers a year and one-half ago, I have finally gotten organized enough to start this blog (part of it was just coming up with a title...!)

We are currently parked in the driveway of Daughter Dawn and Todd's home in Hubbard, Oregon. We arrived here just ahead of the BIG snowstorm that hit the NW just before Christmas. We will probably be here a few more days as Forry has an appointment for an oil change and to have a front-end stabilizer put on in Wilsonville on January 2nd.
Dawn and her family headed for a few days at the coast right after church services on Sunday and will be gone until the afternoon of the 1st. We are feeding the cats for them and using a few quiet days to catch up on all we've neglected doing (like this blog!) while we were enjoying playing with the grand-kids.
I am going to try to update this every couple of days so that you can keep up with where we are on the road. We'll see how it goes!
Much love from the Hardts!

  3. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Rich & I are in sunny but COLD California playing Go Fish with the girls. We flew in Xmas Day. By the time we got to P& E's,there was snow on the ground. We told the girls we had brought the snow from WA. Unfortunately I brought along a cold too!
Penny had arthroscopic knee surgery the 22nd. Just 2 tiny holes. Doc said it was a small ACL tear but she does have osteo arthritis in her knee.
Rich found a raquetball court in Oakhurst (25minutes away)and has been walking 4.6-5.3 miles in the cold. The difference is whether you judge mileage by the GPS or the pedometer...
I am playing coach potatoe watching these two blonde munchkins in awe. Piper is reading, loves school and can add single numbers. Ashlyn is right behind her. They got Tinker toys (not me - I was threatened). That was a kick watching them figure out how to move or change the positions to get a house to stand or wheels to roll. You can just see the wheels turn.
Eli comes back in the morning. Hopefully before we take off. It was nice that we could be here to feed the horses, watch the kids, cook and help out. Rich got good at shoveling frozen horse poop out of the feeding areas.
Don't bother getting P. Cornwell's newest book Scarpetta. Very disappointing as was JK Rawling's new offer. Dewy the cat by Vicki Myron & Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs were great. Penny is developing a wonderful horse library for her Pony Club. Amazing how many Pony Club/Black Stallion books there are.
They did hire a Rehab manager. I am not sure what happens next. Stay tuned. Love & Kisses Roxanne
