Out in the wind today --
We spent the morning doing the usual first of the month stuff -- getting bills paid and things organized for a new month. Thanks to being able to do our banking on line, it only takes a few minutes to make payments for our mortgage and health insurance and the very occasional credit card charge.
After lunch we walked in the wind around the perimeter of the RV Park property. It was still damp in a few places from last week's rain, but the ground is already cracking as it dries. There isn't much around the park -- the land next door is for sale, otherwise it is pretty empty. Like many other places we've visited in the desert, empty buildings and dried plants tell the story of someone's failed dreams.
