The Post Office in Laughlin is a long way from the center of town. It almost looks like the town was growing in that direction, but when the economy crashed, the town stopped growing and left it isolated out there. Laughlin is like a lot of Western towns we've seen -- lots of empty stores and lots. There's even a skeleton that looks like it was going to be a big hotel complex.
I always chuckle at the amount of mail Daughter Mary Mae can stuff into one of those Flat Rate boxes from the Post Office. I keep taking it out, and taking it out, and taking it out and then when I shake the box upside, some more falls out! Anyway, the timing was good. We are scheduled to leave here in the morning.
