Forry's New Toy
If there is "candy" in the life of a full-time RVer, it must be Camping World! While they carry many of the necessities of RV life, they also carry the toys. We made a stop at the one in Fort Myers yesterday on our way home.
Now mind you, we had just been to Costco for the first time in over a month and Toad was full! But Forry has been looking at their Adventurer folding bikes for a while -- and they were on sale...
This copper and gray twelve-speed bike folds up to a 35" x 16 1/2" x 30" package. I don't know where we are going to store it, but I see some major re-arranging happening in the next couple of days. It's a good thing I had taken the two lounge chairs out of Toad's back seat along with the little outdoor table and set them up outside, or we'd have never gotten the box loaded.
But, by moving the front seats all the way forward and rearranging the boxes of groceries, the salesman and Forry managed to get it in the back seat. By the time we got home last night and got all the groceries put away, we were too tired to unload the bike.
But today, Forry pulled it out and put it together. He went to take it for a trial ride, but wouldn't you know, the tires needed air. So out came the compressor. After he got that taken care of, he went for a ride. He says since it is so short-bodied, it is a bit "twitchy." I'm glad he didn't talk me into getting one as well (I'm holding out for the trike version!). Of course, since we had left the regular bikes at the ranch, we had also left the bike helmets in the storage shed...
