Curt and I were sitting in the living room drinking a cup of coffee this morning when all of sudden right outside the window flew an airplane. Curt looked at me and said, "Did I just see a Piper Cub fly by?" We went outside and there were two of them flying around! They circled the house several times, then one of them landed on the grass behind the house. It turned out to be an acquaintance of Curt's that had one of new Carbon Cubs made in Yakima. These are the neatest little planes -- they only weigh about 900 pounds with a 180 horse motor. They have one seat (you can sling a second seat behind) and are incredibly maneuverable. It was so neat!
In spite of the excitement, he took off in time for us to make it to church. And what a wonderful worship service it was! With all of the people from all over the state who were here for the sale yesterday that had stayed overnight, the church was full. So the singing was wonderful!
After church I went over to Moses Lake to visit my brother Patrick and his wife Cindy. They were baby-sitting for two of their little grandsons so I got to spend some time with the little guys. My niece Becky and her husband Dave came back soon enough for us to spend some time with her as while.
And then to spend the evening just sitting around and chatting with Curt and Sarah. A very nice day, indeed!
