Church on the Creek Reservation

This morning we went a bit north to the Creek Indian Reservation to attend the Poarch Community Church. The church is an old mission plant and is a member of Gulf States Mennonite Conference and Native American Ministries; although they function as a community church.

One of the ladies that was on the Mennonite Church USA Executive Board when I started my first term attends church here. It was good to see Olivette again and meet many of her family.

After church, Olivette took us out to lunch at Chen's Buffet in the nearby town of Atmore. It was a very busy place and one of the best Chinese buffets we've eaten at. Because it was so busy the food was continuously being replenished, so it was hot and crisp.

After we returned to Auntie Violet, I got busy and addressed and stamped our Christmas letters. We are going to the Post Office in Robertsdale tomorrow, so will get them in the mail. Daughter MM has sent our mail to General Delivery and I'm expecting a package from my sister as well.
