Four? States Today!

We started out at the KOA Kampground at Harpers Ferry in West Virginia; drove a bit in the State of Virginia; then for a while in Maryland; before we finally ended up in Green Lane, Pennsylvania! And we actually only drove 180 miles. Some of these east coast states are so small, it really isn't hard to do.

You can see, even through the haze, why they call these mountains blue.

We by-passed a few of the larger cities and drove through a great deal of farmland. We had a few two lane roads, but the majority of the trip were on four lane roads. Most of these are not limited access, so there were lots of stoplights, but we still made as good a time as we have in a long time.

We are here at Homestead Farm Campground near Green Lane, Pennsylvania. We are planning to be here for a week. The Lansdale train station for the Regional Rail system is only a few miles away so that we can take the train into Philadelphia for some sight-seeing without having to worry about driving or parking.

The owner of the park said they have a had a lot of rain and there was another storm forecast for tonight. She was right on as it started to drizzle as we were eating supper and has now settled into some serious rain. It should be good sleeping tonight!
