Pot 'n Pan Parade
Some interesting things happen at RV Parks, especially those who may have some full-time or seasonal residents. I was quietly reading my Kindle this morning when I glanced out the front window and saw this --
I checked the newsletter given to us by the front office when we registered and sure enough there it was under the 4th of July Festivities: The Pots and Pans Parade!
About a half hour later, the music started and the parade was on. The first entry to come by was this pickup with the Statue of Liberty and Uncle Sam.
It had quite the flag holder on the back --
The campground's Kubota tractor pulled this trailer full of kids --
Then came the Oink Haven float. I heard later that it will be representing the campground at the parade in Wales next week at their celebration. All of the riders on the float had pig noses...
Not sure what the theme of this last rig was, but it had a lot of folks banging on pots --
So far this year we have seen an Easter parade of golf carts and a Christmas night-time parade also of golf carts. It's always interesting to see the creativity of RV folks...
