It was nine AM, not the eight-thirty he had planned, but Dusty from Loomis Truck and Tractor in Lind showed up this morning with what was needed to to seal off the leaking hydraulic hose by the back slide. He and Forry got everything put back together and buttoned up. Then we got the front slides pulled in; the jacks raised; Toad II hitched up and were finally on our way.
It was so nice to see the end of the lane --
As we drove up the hill we went by the fields of good-looking winter wheat --
We drove west on I-90 down the hill to cross the Columbia River --
And made a stop at Ryegrass Rest Stop with its incredible view of Mount Ranier --
We could see the beginnings of the changing colors of the Fall leaves as we drove --
We drove as far as the very nice Ellensburg KOA and decided to stop for the night. Forry was really tired from tearing things apart and putting them back together, so we made an early stop. We decided not to try to put the slides out, so we'll spend a very cozy evening.
