Day Two -- Pittsburgh Mennonite Convention

A full day of convention today -- and I'm tired! (And yes, Bill, it's three hours not three years. But maybe that's what it feels like...).
We FINALLY got to see Granddaughter Havelita tonight! It's hard to spot one teenager among 5000 of them. We were just stepping on to the down escalator when she called to us. I was able to stop, but Forry was already almost three steps down. He turned around and tried to come back up. He had quite a group of teens encouraging him, but just couldn't make it back up over the break. He finally had to give up and go back down and then ride the "UP" escalator back. So I got lots of extra hugs while we waited for him. Havela and her friends all said they were having a great time.
Today was the first set of Delegate Sessions. I've got a good table of folks. Four of them are pastors (all male) and two of them are young adults. Most of the other Table Leaders have reported that they have good groups as well, so I hope it continues this way. Tomorrow I have to make a short presentation to the whole assembly and our Racial Healing Task Group is giving a presentation in the evening. It will be a busy day.
