We were up by four and on our way by five. We flew US Airways out of Spokane's International Airport. The sun isn't even up that early!
Our route took us to Phoenix -- where it was HOT!
We had just an hour layover before our long flight to Pittsburgh. Since we didn't get to bed very early last night, and since we were up so early this morning, I must confess I slept a good share of the way.
We are at the Hampton Inn which is half-way down the block and catty-corner from the Convention Center where the convention is being held. There is no restaurant in the hotel (though they do have breakfast). By the time we got to the hotel and settled in, it was already 9 PM and we didn't feel like going out. And the guy at the front desk was skeptical about what might be open on a Sunday night. Fortunately, there was a pizza menu in the room for an outfit that delivers. We ended up ordering shrimp baskets which were too bad with onion rings which were horrible! But at least our bellies are full and we can sleep and try to get used to the three hour time difference.
