Another Day in Hidden Valley

We spent another quiet day just sort of hanging out. We spent a little time taking care of the ranch book work and then walked down to the office to mail some letters I had finally gotten written.

We will be flying to Pittsburgh in July for the Biennial Mennonite Convention. We were already registered, but one of the things they are asking for this year is a Medical Information Form and Release from all attendees. That's a pretty normal thing for children and youth attendees, but this is the first time I had ever seen it requested for adults. So one of the things I got done was to fill out the forms for both of us and get them in the mail.

We talked with our friend Tom late this afternoon. He was released from the hospital a little while before after his neck surgery yesterday. He sounds great! And says he is in no pain. We'll wait another day or so before we go visit, but it is great to hear that he is doing so well.

It's gotten quite warm here with lots of sunshine. It continues to be breezy however. That's probably the only thing that kept us comfortable when we walked down the hill to the office and back up again. (Why is it that hills are ALWAYS steeper going up then going down?) After freezing two nights in a row earlier in the week, we slept last night without any of the heaters on.
