And that about sums up our day! I started to make a crab pasta salad (Auntie June's recipe) to take to Juni and Tom's for the Mother's Day BBQ they are having tomorrow, but realized I didn't have any celery... So we made a trip into town to pick some up along with a OJ and blueberries. We ran into our friends at the grocery store! After some discussion, we decided that we would go back to Auntie Violet and finish the salad, then bring it back in to Juni's and put it in her refrigerator. That way we wouldn't have to worry about keeping it on ice and cold enough while we were at church in the morning.
Tom is two days post-op from his cervical spine surgery and he looks really great. We took him over a little pot of roses and some "pain medicine" when we took the salad over this evening. We had a nice visit with them while Juni was making a Red Velvet cake for tomorrow's festivities. Tom is planning to smoke some ribs and pulled pork in the morning. Should be quite a feast!
