We did go on a couple of the rides while we were at Epcot yesterday -- we didn't JUST look at flowers and topiaries!
One of the rides we went on was Test Track, sponsored by GM, which simulates the testing done on their vehicles on the test track. There are long lines for this ride, but Bill got Fast Passes for us which give you an hour's window to the fast line.
You sit three across in a "vehicle" which takes you around the various obstacles, which include rough roads, hot and cold, hills and accelerations that, according to the clock, take you up to over 418 miles per hour...
Later in the afternoon, we took a boat ride that toured the hydroponic testing laboratories of Epcot. We saw peppers that would have made my Brother Pat happy --
And cucumber plants that Sister Sherry would have envied --
And that would have made Sister Dena immediately start talking about making pickles!
As we were leaving the park, we ran into these fellows. I couldn't figure out what triggered their talking, but all of a sudden they would start yelling, "MINE! MINE!"
This is the scene at the parking lot when the tram brought us back to Row Discover 17. We are parked w-a-y down at the far end --
As we got closer, the sky got even prettier --
I did make a trip over to the post office with Bill this morning to pick up some Flat Rate boxes and Forry and I made a blueberry run to the nearby Publix grocery, but other then that we laid low and rested today.
