Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Since St. Patrick's Day was on a Sunday this year, there was a lot of celebrating going on Saturday. People got an early start and many seemed to keep on celebrating both days. We watched the St. Patrick's Day parade in New York yesterday. Today we watched all the bull riders in green shirts on the PBR broadcast.

It was warm again today, but only got into the 80's. We waited until late afternoon to go out for a bike ride around the park. There was a bit of a breeze, so we were quite comfortable. I saw a couple of buds on this beavertail cactus when we drove out of the park yesterday. Today there are a lot of blooms. It looks like there will be a lot more to come --

The smell of orange blossoms is beginning to pervade the park especially in the evenings. There are quite a few young citrus trees in the middle area of the park.

According to the Sunday paper, there are many desert flowers beginning to bloom. It may be we'll have to go looking this week.
