Packages

We knew we should have mail today as Daughter MM had sent us a package on Thursday. But, when we went to the mailbox, we had three pink slips for packages.

The one (other than the one with my blood pressure meds...) I was very glad to see was the one from GiftWorksPlus. They had indeed put a priority rush on re-doing the picture frame I had ordered at the Arabian Horse Show. And doesn't this "V" in Varick look much more like a vee should look?

I am actually quite pleased with the way it all has turned out. Now I just need to obtain some more pictures of the grands and another package of heavy-duty Velcro for hanging it all.

It was a most interesting drive over to the main office this morning. It seems this morning was "Yard Sale" day in the park. We had noticed a batch of balloons down the street at one of our neighbors earlier. Forry saw someone stop and visit with him and then there was an exchange of money. I had to look on the Valle del Oro calendar to figure out what was going on. The resort streets are not all that wide, and when you have stopped cars, bicycles and golf cars all catty-rumpus in front of a site with things for sale in front, it gets kind of crazy.

We saw rugs, pictures, jewelry, clothing, tools, chairs, a bicycle (for $10!), and all of the other things you would expect at a yard sale. It looked like people were having lots of fun. It's really not our thing, so we headed on over to Safeway for groceries and gas. It was in the 90s again today, so we had our first Frappacinos of the summer at Starbucks.
