Today is Tuesday Again...

And once again it was a busy one -- and a disappointing one. The ARC circuit breakers we bought and Forry installed still weren't the right ones! They need to be a COMBINATION ARC one. So tomorrow it's another trip to town to get replacements...

The inspector did approve the site for House #6, so Robin will pull the permit for that one very soon. He also took an unscheduled look at House #3 and approved the closing of the sewer and gas lines; told Robert he could start moving in; and said he'd do the final inspection on Thursday. Which means we'll have to have the Fire Marshal there tomorrow after we get the water tanks filled so she can test the sprinklers.

Tonight we went out to dinner at the Greek Sombrero with Robin and her husband Mike. I picked up a basket of flowers for her to say "thank you" for all of her help and support. We are starting to say our good-byes to everyone and it's a bit difficult!

Oh, Happy Day!

We were pretty sure that we had taken care of everything that Elmer had asked for last week (including the six inch high numbers on the house!), so I had hidden a basket of flowers and a bottle of sparkling cider in the pickup. (I'm still not sure what I would have done with them, if he hadn't passed it...)

The volunteers enticed Elsie and Steve around to the front of the house for presents and pictures. (They had been working on leveling in the yard and were waiting to fill in the trench they had jack-hammered yesterday for the electrical conduit.) It was a very merry, happy group of people!
