It's been a busy week, but it mostly seems like we've been doing "busy" work -- little things to make the inspector happy. Today Forry replaced the regular circuit breakers and installed the Arc Fault circuit breakers that he wanted on all the bedroom lights in two of the houses. I really didn't want him doing it, but we don't currently have an electrician volunteer and the one we've occasionally hired is visiting family in Missouri. I went along to both houses to make sure he turned the power off first! He also changed the shut-off valve on the propane gas lines to below the union.
On the way back to camp, we stopped to visit the garden at the Potrero Public Library. They have a lovely cacti garden -- many of them are beginning to bloom:
They really are spectacular -- I'll share more in days to come.
Our crew of volunteers worked on the property of some men we may build a house for if they can get all of the ownership issues worked out. They had several sixty plus year old pepper trees which had been burned in the fire that had to be taken down. Jon, one of our long termers, had a great time playing with the chain saw today:
