We spent most of the day on the telephone, checking out possibilities, following up leads. It's not looking good. The best lead we've gotten is the phone number of a woman in Union Gap (near Yakima, Washington) who supposedly bought up a great deal of the inventory of Western Recreational Equipment (the manufacturer of Alpine Coaches) when they had their disposal auction. She wasn't there today, so we were unable to verify that she might have any of the needed windshield wiper attachment assemblies.
If this doesn't pan out, we may end up having to get a complete new wiper assembly...
The only good thing about all of this frustrating mess, is getting to spend some bonus time with our grand kids. Tonight I mixed up a double batch of yeast dough batter for Belgian waffles so that Forry could try out his new toy. Along with ham steak, blackberries, peaches, whipped cream and maple syrup we had a feast when Daughter Dawn got home from work.
