We are near Mojave, California at Sierra Trails RV Park. Most of the people here are permanent tenants who work at or on all of the hundreds of giant windmills on the range of mountains west of here. We are parked at the rear of the park in a pull-through spot. There are eight slots back here which seem to empty out every morning and fill up again every afternoon with snowbirds heading further south.
This morning I had to get another routine pro-time done. We went to the Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster which is about twenty-five miles away. It was a very slow process, not so much with the hospital, but with getting the authorization from Group Health! Fortunately, the clerk who waited on me was a very pleasant patient soul -- and she stayed that way even after being put "on hold" five different times!
This evening we went into California City for dinner at Gloria's Mexican Restaurant with our friends Bill and Leslie. We will once again be going our separate ways in the morning, but hope to meet up again in Phoenix over Christmas.
