There is a web-site called iRV2 that just may have been a life-saver for us! They have a forum for different brands of RVs, including a discussion board for Alpine coaches. Yesterday I posted our tale of woe re the windshield wiper arm and asked if anyone could help.
Late yesterday afternoon, a gentleman who goes by the handle of "Take Pride," responded with a reference to a previous post about Diesel Equipment Company, saying that they had provided wiper arms for Alpines. I looked them up on the internet and sent an inquiry email to their service department.
This morning I had an email back from them asking for the Kit number on the wiper motor. Forry and I went under there with a flashlight and mirror and were unable to read the label...
The lady had said if we couldn't find it, to send her pictures and she would try to figure it out. We took pictures, sent them to her and she emailed us back with the Kit number and the part number for the arm. I immediately called her; found out she was in South Carolina; ordered two sets of arms (that way we'd have a spare); and arranged for them to be shipped out tomorrow UPS next day air.
Forry is still skeptical, but with any luck -- good luck that is -- we should have the wiper arms by Saturday (I did send an email asking that they be sure and specify that Saturday delivery was okay.). We'd get them on, stay here for church on Sunday, and then finally head south!
