A Day at Home

Today was another beautiful, warm day. We were tired from three straight days of traveling, so had a good sleep-in this morning. I was up and enjoyed a quiet cup of coffee in the hour or so before Forry joined me, which was also very pleasant.

It was quiet around the resort today. The frantic ins and outs of the first of the month have slowed down and there were only the usual three to four rigs moving around. The kids that were here this weekend weren't around either. The usual parade of dogs being walked along the fence continued. I think there are more big ones then there have been. There was a beautiful full-sized cream colored curly poodle walking his owner today that I hadn't seen before.

We had a nice telephone visit late this afternoon with Daughter Dawn and Granddaughter Havela who is home in Oregon for her college's Spring Break. It brought back memories of last year when she spent her Break with us here in Arizona.

The Mariners didn't fare so well today in their game, though Felix Hernandez pitched two scoreless innings. Tomorrow, we will go back to Peoria for a game with the Colorado Rockies.
