There is more and more evidence of Spring around the Valley. The many brown sticks of ocotillos are turning green and the bright red-orange flowers at their tips are seen all over.
Many of the chollas are also beginning to bloom -
They vary in color between orangey red, pink and a orangey yellow -
We saw some brilliant pink hedge hog blossoms today as well, but they were along a busy road where we couldn't stop for a picture.
We had made a trip into Fountain Hills to the Post Office to mail the ball caps I had gotten for the kids, then went on an unsuccessful hunt for some soft ice cream. There are no Tastee Freezes in this part of the world. We had the address for a Dairy Queen in Scottsdale, but when we arrived, the building was being remodeled into an art gallery...
