Lazy Saturday

It's been a very lazy Saturday. We slept in this morning. I thought that after last night's thunderstorm and rain showers, we might have a cooler day today. Not so, it was already hot when we got up this morning. If anything, there was an increase in humidity.

We certainly didn't do anything today. We briefly thought about going into the Post Office in Fountain Hills to mail off the baseball caps I had gotten for the great-nieces and nephews, but had a pretty good idea that the Post Office probably closed at noon on Saturdays, so left it for a Monday trip.

I finished reading the New Zealand trilogy by Sarah Lark. Song of the Spirits and Call of the Kiwi were the last two books in this fascinating series. Lark writes in her home tongue of German, so the books are translations.

We did have a Messenger chat with Granddaughter Havela this afternoon. She is preparing for her graduation recital in May at Hesston College. It's so nice to have electronic communications!
