Spring Flowers

After watching the Mariners very nicely beat the Los Angeles Angels on ROOT Sports this afternoon, we took a trip into the Post Office in Fountain Hills to mail a package. Along the way we kept seeing more and more blooms on the cacti. There were several patches of Prickly Pear cactus that were sporting blossoms.

 
The orangeish yellow blooms are in clusters on the top of the "pear."

I love the bright fushia color!

As we drove into town, the fountain at the Fountain Hills Park was going off (it goes for 15 minutes at there top of every hour). There was no wind today, so it was going straight up. (Sure is a dirty windshield those people have...)
