Oh, how nice it was to be woke up this morning by the sun shining through the bedroom window right into my eyes!
It turned out to be a lovely warm day. What a change after the last few. And so nice to finally be back on the same time as the PDT. Now our family and friends in the NW are on the same time as we are. Arizona just does NOT do Daylight Savings Time, so the clocks stay the same all year around.
Forry had gotten quite involved in watching a golf tournament in Florida this afternoon that Tiger Woods ended up winning. It was finally over about four PM, so we went out for a long bike/trike ride. I think everyone in the park that had a bicycle was out riding. There was a BIG group of motorcycles that rode out this morning and there were lots of walkers as well.
Such a change from the last two days when there was hardly a soul to be seen on the streets. What a difference sunshine makes...
The Professional Bull Riders were in Tacoma, Washington at the Tacoma Dome this week. For some reason, they only broadcast today's rides. It would have been nice to see yesterday's rides as well since they were bucking mostly northwest bulls. Oh, well.

A Down Day...
Today was a nice quiet down day. Daylight Savings Time started today, so we set the clocks forward an hour when we went to bed last night. It did seem like it was an awfully short night, even though we slept in this morning.
It was overcast and chilly this morning and it got cloudier as the morning went by, then finally started to rain. It rained off and on most of the afternoon. Every time we thought it was going to clear off so we could go for a bike ride, it started up again.
As I was sitting on the couch reading, Forry suddenly hollered at me to look out the window. A lone Sandhill Crane had landed on the street outside of Auntie Violet!
We lost sight of it for a while, then it came back down the street again. A man walked right by it as we watched, and it didn't even flinch. It must be quite used to people.
We've seen quite a few of the Sandhills since we've been in Florida. Usually there are a pair of them, occasionally three. Perhaps the third one is a last year's chick?
