A Quiet Sunday

I thought maybe we were going to have new neighbors, but the people who came in with their trailer yesterday and parked next to us left this afternoon. I didn't have a chance to talk with them, but maybe that's just as well. That next door site (168) has been empty ever since we came. I think I've mentioned that this RV Park, like many others, picks up garbage at your site every day. They ask that it not be put out the night before so that the various critters don't get into it, but that it be out by 10 AM when they come around and pick it up. Well, these folks left about 1:30 and left their garbage behind (mind, the crew had already made their garbage rounds two hours earlier...) at that time. I don't know whether they didn't bother to tie the top or whether it came undone. but it didn't take the grackles long to get into it. Within a few minutes, there was garbage -- and beer cans -- scattered all down the road... I did call the office and within a few minutes someone was here chasing it all down. I won't repeat what the fellow in the office had to say...

It has been another day of non-stop football. Forry was happy there wasn't a blackout for the Seahawks game, but wasn't too happy when the 49ers won... We also got the news today that WSU's Cougars will be playing in the New Mexico Bowl in Albuquerque on December 21st. It's going to be their first bowl game in many years.

The cold continues to plague us and it seems everyone else in the country except for Florida. It was a bit warmer last night, but the forecast is warning of freezing temperatures for most of the next week. We watched one of the football games being played in Philadelphia where it snowed over four inches during the game! There were times you couldn't even see the football -- nor the other players -- across the field.
