It's a bit on the chilly side here -- there some concern that we may actually get below the freezing point sometime yet this week. It was cold last night, but warmed up pretty nicely during the day. I don't feel like I can complain much when I get emails and notes on Facebook talking about below zero and near zero temperatures all over the country -- except for Florida!
The scary part about it getting this cold back in eastern Washington at the ranch is that there is no snow. The winter wheat was already stooled out and gorgeously green when we left. It's not good for it to get this cold without snow cover, especially since they're also predicting 35 mile an hour winds.
Eagle View is one of the few RV parks we've stayed in that has regular Security Patrols. The Patrol comes through the park at irregular intervals at least once an hour day and night. I think they may continuously patrol between here and the casino which is just about a half a mile away and across the highway. There's also a rig that comes through every morning sometime after 10 AM and picks up the garbage which we just set outside. Since we're out in the country, they ask that you not set out garbage bags the night before -- critters, you know.
