Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel

I'm sure glad I called the Blake Ranch office from the tire shop yesterday and asked to reserve another night. We got a call this morning verifying that we would be staying as all of a sudden, the park is full up! It's a popular overnight stop that may empty out every morning and fill up again every evening. (I must have been holding the camera at an angle -- the sites really are level!)

About eleven o'clock we got a call from Superior Tire saying that the new rim had come in and the last tire was mounted and ready to be put on Toad II. We finished up what we were doing and headed the twelve miles back into Kingman.

The rim certainly doesn't match the other rims on the Suzuki, but it's the right size and I guess that's all that matters.

It took a bit for the crew to take off the spare and remount it on the back, mount the new tire and rim, then check the alignment and give the rig a short test drive. It was a little after two when all was ready.

This is James Burdette, the bossman of Superior Tire settling up with Forrest. If you are ever in this part of Arizona and need tires or tire repairs, this is definitely the place to go. James leaned over backwards to take care of us and get us back on the road.

The plan at this point is to get up to the corner of Utah tomorrow. We have reservations at Temple View RV Park in St. George. But, this evening we'll watch the Mariners game.
