Packin' Up

We spent most of the day packing stuff up and putting stuff away. We've been parked in this spot since mid-October. That's a long time to stay in one place. It means there's a whole lot of things we took out and left out. (When you move every couple of days or couple of weeks, you tend to put things back away a little more promptly...)

We put the lawn chairs in their carry bags and hoisted them up into the car carrier. I brought the kitchen stool outside - that made it a lot easier. We carefully picked up the rug we had under the chairs alongside the cement pad, watching for spiders and scorpions. Fortunately, there was nothing lurking underneath. There have been a lot of scorpion bites reported in the paper -- as well as nine rattlesnake bites already this year.

A good share of the stuff inside of the RV has already been put away in the last week or so, but we kept plugging away this afternoon. As we were taking a break, Forry looked out the front window and saw this lady who stopped by for a visit.

I am always surprised that we seem to get visits from one cow at a time. I always thought that a herd pretty much stayed together...

She hung around for quite some time, grazing on this little patch of grass along the fence. Then she turned and went back over the bank to the river bottom.

Forry got the black tank drained and will  the drain the gray tank in the morning and put all of the hoses away. We're getting close to being ready to go tomorrow. We're planning on going as far as Flagstaff to the KOA there for the next two nights.
