We are supposed to leave here on Friday, but I still see something new every day. This prickly pear cactus had these few blossoms open this morning --
But when you look at it more closely, you can see it is absolutely LOADED with buds. It should be spectacular in a few days --
I chatted with another couple this morning who bemoaned the fact that all of their friends have left for the summer and would never see all of the gorgeous blooms on the cacti. We've been told that only about 20% of the sites here are occupied in the summer. Indeed, on our street, there are only Auntie Violet and then two other 5th units quite a ways down from us.
- In the late afternoon we made a Costco run. We will be heading north soon and are not sure when we will be in the vicinity of one again. Forry absolutely had to have a Polish dog -- I do give him a bad time about it being his favorite gourmet meal, but there is no doubt about it!
