This is the neighbor across the street --
And these are all the empty sites just down the line from us --
It's beginning to feel like a ghost town at this end of the RV Resort. One of the ladies in the office (who's leaving for Wisconsin next week) says that only about 20% of the park will be occupied by the end of April.
We spent a good share of today watching the Mama Hummingbird flying back and forth feeding her babies. Forry set up his scope and we were able to get a really good look at them. It's kinda funny how short and wide their little beaks are compared to the long dagger of the bird feeding them. She points her beak into the air for a few seconds while she regurgitates her food, then feeds it alternately to the wide open beaks below her.
It started to cloud up this afternoon and cooled way down. We had a few drops of rain while we were out watching the birds; then it really started coming down. We've had two or three good showers, along with some gusty wind. It sure smells good outside!
