Today was a very different day. We had joint worship services this morning, but because there is no hall big enough for everyone, we met in two different places. If your church name started with a letter Q through Z, you started at 8:30 in the Adult worship space. If your church started from A-P, like Menno, you started at 9 AM in the Youth worship space. Ervin Stutzman was the speaker for both services -- quite a logistical fete to pull off! I think that this convention, the Adults have the best music worship team.
The rest of the day was devoted to seminars and learning experiences. We took in one on the Corinthian Health Plan -- so glad something I lobbied hard for on the Board has been such a success in making sure all of our church workers and their families have health insurance.
We actually came back to the hotel and took a nap this afternoon which enabled us to stay up late to see Eastern Mennonite University's play, No Roosters in the Desert tonight.(it didn't start until 9:15!)
The Youth and most of the kids went to Wild Waters this evening, not getting home until almost eleven. They're going to be tired tomorrow!
Tomorrow morning will be more seminars. We don't have a Delegate session until two pm. I'm looking forward to hearing from one of my table mates that took the trip across the border today that I took last January. I can't imagine what it would be like doing it in this heat!
