Take Me Out To the Ball Game!

On our way back and forth to the new house in Keizer, we've been driving by the Keizer-Salem Volcanoes stadium. We noticed this week that the Spokane Indians are in town for a series of five games. For all of the eighteen years we lived in Spokane, we had season tickets for the Indians. Granddaughter Havela even found the VERY small Indians t-shirt she wore to the games with Grammy and Grandpa when she was a little girl.

Anyway, we decided we should all go to the game tonight. I called the Volcanoes ticket office this morning and got tickets left for us at Will Call. Compared to the facilities in Spokane, the Volcanoes complex is pretty small. In fact, the Will Call area is that little tent canopy structure on the right.

The game started at 6:30 this evening and it was a beautiful evening until the sun went down -- then it got chilly!

I felt a bit sorry for the Spokane pitchers, they just couldn't get their stuff together tonight. They had won the game last night, but tonight they lost 9-1.
