Because of all the different places people had to be, this was definitely a day to juggle rigs and drivers. Dawn, of course, had to take the little car to work. Forry took the loaded van and loaded trailer over to the new house. Kyra rode with her Dad on his motorcycle (he had meetings tonight and needed a way home.) while Havela and I took Toad II and headed for her doctor's appointment in Salem.
Granddaughter Havela is working on getting her health records organized for college. She needed to get a couple of inoculations to get her all caught up. We had to go back to Woodburn to get copies of her records -- they said they couldn't have them faxed due to privacy concerns... Then we hand-carried them back to the clinic in Salem.
We ended up at the new house and lined a few more cupboards in the kitchen and started putting away some of the canned goods. Kyra's dresser had made it over in one of the trailer loads, so she was able to start putting some of her stuff away. Soon it was time to head back to the house in Hubbard so that Havela could be picked up for her baby-sitting job. Forry brought the van and trailer back with Kyra.
We are all tired of take-out, so I made a pasta crab salad for supper. Just the idea of having something cold after all these hot days sounded good. After I stuck that in the refrigerator, it was time to head to Canby with Granddaughter Kyra for pick up her friend Elley who is spending tonight and tomorrow with her. I was very thankful for Toad II's built-in GPS as Elley's family had moved into a new house and Ky was not sure where it was...
