Loading Up

The U-Haul truck is backed into the driveway and by five-thirty there was quite a crew here to help load furniture for the move to the new house.

Daughter Dawn was quite surprised to see everyone. Todd hadn't told her that today was Loading Day.

It was a busy group. By a little after seven, the truck was full! One of the ladies (Louise) even brought Papa Murphy's pizza to bake and feed the whole crew.

Beds, couches, dressers! Everything flew into the truck. What wonderful friends to have!

We had spent part of the day over at the new house, getting stuff cleared away so that furniture can be moved in tomorrow. All of the shelves for the built-ins in the family room needed to be trimmed, so Forry and I used Todd's table saw and chop saw to take off just a skosh on the back and sides so they would fit nicely. (It's a good thing Todd had already moved all of his shop equipment into the new garage.) I had loaded all of the hanging clothes from Havela's closet into the back of our van and got them put away as well.

Havela had gone over to Drift Creek Camp this morning to pick up Micah and a couple of his friends who had been at church camp all week. I swear that boy grew another inch while he was gone!
