A Very Busy Saturday

Forry slept in this morning while I actually enjoyed a bit of sunshine with my breakfast coffee. It's been a while since I've seen blue sky.

We had just finished a late breakfast and were getting ready to head over to Daughter Dawn's when Forry announced that he had broken the toilet! Seems the little flusher lever on that bottom has this wire with a little ball on top that actually does the job. And the wire had snapped.

So after a short visit with Dawn and Todd and Granddaughter Kyra and Grandson Micah, we headed up the freeway to Wilsonville and Camping World. I had called ahead and they had what we were looking for, but instead of buying another Thetford, we ended up with a Dometic 320.

It was a two hour trip up to Wilsonville and back, so it was early afternoon when we got back to Auntie Violet. It took most of the afternoon to take out the old toilet and install the new one. We got finished up in time to head back over to Dawn's for roast pork loin and sweet potatoes for supper. Kyra was at work and Micah was at a friends, so it was just the adults. Todd and DT had spent the day building a storage shed in their back yard, so it was a group of tired folk who enjoyed this fall feast.
