Sunday Morning Worship

The worship service this morning were in the big tent, left up from yesterday's MCA sale. This is the first time we've held worship in the tent in several years. (Last year there was a huge dust storm the Sunday after the sale!) It was good. Our speaker from MCC, Alan Claassen Thrush, talked about the curtain in the tabernacle and the temple. It fit so well as we watched the shadows of the trees on the roof of the tent.

All of the singing this morning was accapello (unaccompanied by musical instruments). We were sitting towards the front. The sounds of the beautiful four part harmony raised goose bumps. We sang "Praise God From Whom" (old hymnal 606) in closing -- fantastic!

The proceeds from this year's sale are not yet in, but it will be well over the $100,000 mark again. People are so very generous in giving for relief! The way so many people with divergent views and ideas can work together in the name of Christ gives me great hope for our church!
