We had a lovely pair of visitors last evening. Jeff, who farms our ranch , stopped in when he got home from work. We so enjoy him and his family! We got an update of the boys and their doings. They were just wee little guys when the family moved to our ranch and now they are grown handsome young men. Later that evening, Bradley, Jeff's older brother, stopped by for a visit on his way home from the field. We hadn't seen him for years. The two brothers grew up with our kids and it's hard to believe that Brad is now a Grandpa!
We didn't rush this morning, just kept plugging away at stuff. Forry got the tanks drained and flushed while I put away things in the bathroom and kitchen. We eventually pulled out through the ranch gate about 1 PM. We had gotten diesel at the new Love station in Ritzville earlier, so didn't need to stop in Moses Lake.
We got our first glimpse of the mighty Columbia River as we came west on I-90 --
And soon spotted Gobedere's herd of ponies on the bluff --
Because of the draw-down of the reservoir so that repairs can be made to Wanapum Dam, there are portions of the dry river bed showing a long ways out --
The cliffs along the river are incredible --
We didn't go very far today, only as far as the KOA at Ellensburg. Our appointment at Ullmann's RV isn't until Thursday morning so we're easing into travel slowly.
