Looking Down the Street...

We'd been hard at work this afternoon entering data in the ranch books, when we decided enough was enough for the day. We had just settled on the couch and the recliner when I glanced out the window. Wow, what an incredible amount of color in the sky!

And it just kept getting prettier --

Then the yellows joined the pinks --

It has been a very hot day today. The thermometer read 101 on the west side of Auntie Violet -- but at that point it was in the sun. I think it actually got up to 91 degrees. This is the first time we've though it was necessary to turn on the air conditioning, but we were sure glad we had it!

We have spent quite a bit of time the last couple of days drawn to watching the TV and the pictures and reports coming out of Japan. It seems like the news gets more and more horrific.
Our thoughts and prayers are with those poor people who are suffering so much.
