We were up at five this morning and out the door a little before six. We would have been a bit ahead of SIL Todd's schedule if Forry hadn't remembered about five miles out that he had forgotten his wallet. Since he needs to help drive, we turned around and went back. So we are meddling up leaving at the planned six o'clock after all.
Many, many hours and five states (Washington, Idaho, Montana, a corner of Wyoming and South Dakota) later, we pulled into an AmericanInn in Rapid City, South Dakota. Todd drove a whole lot, especially through the rain until we hit Montana, Forry drove some, and even Grandson Micah put in a shift with his Learners Permit.
Tomorrow won't be quite as long a day, we won't leave until seven, but we'll be near Chicago's O'Hare Airport on Thursday morning to meet Daughter Dawn's flight.
