An Extremely Quiet Day

We spent a VERY quiet day today. In fact. we did not leave the motel all day!

We slept in again this morning, then when over to the other side of the motel to Peppers for breakfast. The waitress suggested that we might want to eat outside on the patio. What a good suggestion as it was a beautiful day. Not being extremely hungry, I ordered blueberry pancakes while Forry ordered plain old buttermilk ones -- he's just not much of a berry person, I guess.

The Mariners game was at one this afternoon. We tried to watch in in the easy chairs in the lobby, but believe it or not, they have different cable in the lobby then in the rooms. The TV in the lobby could NOT get the game! So we ended up going back to our room to watch the game. And what a game it was! Elias, the refugee from Cuba that we first saw in Spring Training, pitched a full shut-out game against Detroit! The offense, especially Brad Miller, did well too. It was another nice win, ending the series 2-1.

This evening we went down to the bar where I ordered a hamburger. Then we went back to the room and stuck the second half of Forry's Reuben sandwich from last night in the microwave for his dinner. I guess we'll just hang around this evening and watch more TV...
