Farewells

It was another early morning day.  Since church starts at ten AM, we have to leave a bit after eight-thirty, especially when we are not sure about the condition of the roads. They definitely were better this morning than yesterday, but still not fast. However, we did arrive in plenty of time.

After church this morning, a farewell celebration was held for Pastor Matthew and his family. Diane and her catering crew prepared a porkloin dinner for the congregation plus several families that were friends of Matthew and Shawna. There was a nice turnout and it was interesting to hear people's comments about the Yoder's years at Menno. They will be leaving towards the end the month for their new home in Ohio.

We arrive back home just in time to watch the sad second half of the Seahawks/Packers game. Green Bay certainly took Seattle to the cleaners this afternoon!
